Category A (SCH): School Student


Criteria 1
CREATIVITY & INNOVATIVE Originality and adaptivity Satisfies FOUR elements: Creative idea focused on problem-solving, defined by a careful design approach and relevant to the current needs/situation.
Criteria 2
LEVEL OF IMPLEMENTATION Level of development and implementation level Able to produce the real product and ready to be used/commercialized by the end-user
Criteria 3
INNOVATION UNIQUE SELLING POINTS Time & cost saver Time & cost-saving features are clearly identified, and their justification is described clearly and detailed.
Increase productivity Satisfies FOUR elements: MOTIVE, QUALITY, EFFICIENCY & EXPECTATIONS
Ease of use There is “ease of use” elements identified in the innovation and clearly described with details.
Sustainability Great points of the sustainability potential of the product are described.

INNOVATION SIGNIFICANCE Level of significance Impact significantly on the outside organization OR higher level of involvement with proof of detailed documentary evidence.
Criteria 5
VIDEO Presentation & Delivery Presenter communicates ideas clearly, confidently, and in an engaging manner.
Prototype/Product Demonstration The prototype or product is demonstrated clearly, showing its function, features, and usability. The demonstration is easy to understand and effectively highlights the key aspects of the innovation.
Visual Design & Aesthetics The video is visually appealing, with balanced layout, good use of graphics, and creative style.
Audio & Technical Quality Clear audio, minimal background noise, appropriate background music, and smooth editing.
Structure & Flow The video is well-structured with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion.
Time Management The video adheres to the given time limit (3–5 minutes) without rushing or dragging.


Category B (UNI) : University and Technical Institution Student


Criteria 1

Video Submission


  • Each project must submit one (1) video showcasing their innovative project/product.
  • The video duration must be between 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Videos can be produced in English or Malay (Malay videos must include English subtitles).
  • The innovation videos must be uploaded to the YouTube channel, and only the YouTube link will be submitted in the Innovation Video Submission Form. Please refer to the Video Upload Guideline on how to upload the video and obtain the link for the registration.
  • Video performance will be evaluated based on creativity of participants.
  • Ensure clear and high-quality audio for optimal sound clarity.
  • Include subtitles if needed to enhance accessibility.
  • This video structure ensures all 6 judging criteria are clearly addressed while maintaining an engaging, informative, and professional tone.

Pitching Session Guidelines – Special Award


The pitching session has been revised. Participants will no longer be called for the session. Instead, only juries with prior experience judging in prestigious competitions will be selected to reevaluate the shortlisted videos.
